I’ve had my eye on gingham for years. The simple woven pattern with its classic checkerboard plaid appears as cookbook covers and picnic tablecloths, symbolizing our deep yearning for a welcoming sense of home. Its interlaced threads create a seamless whole, reminding us that we are part of a larger web of life. I decided to honor gingham’s enduring legacy by swinging the signature grid into motion, allowing this humble weave to breathe with the ebb and flow of everyday life. Like Lumberjack Rose, each hue in the series is mixed with black and white as a study in color interaction.
